In view of the recent increase in Covid-19 cases in Qatar, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has announced that it is stopping attendance at outpatient clinics in all HMC hospitals from Wednesday.
In a notice on social media on Monday, HMC said it would instead be using telephone consultations between the physician and patient.
Should the patient be required to appear in person, the doctor will arrange this, and the patient will be informed by the clinic.
"Patients are asked not to come into the hospital for their appointment. The physician will telephone the patient on the day of the appointment," the notice read. "This measure is taken for the protection and safety of our patients."
