Ashghal, the Public Works Authority, has contributed much to the successful organising of the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2020 by setting up roads along with cycle and pedestrian paths to stadiums, linking them with metro stations and improving the basic infrastructure.

“Nine key highways and main roads serve the fans coming from various areas and to connect the stadiums with the main landmarks,” Ashghal tweeted.
The most important of these roads are Dukhan Road, Khalifa Avenue, Al Rayyan Road, Al Majd Road, and Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor that serve Al Rayyan and Education City stadium while ensuring better connectivity.
Ashghal has built a network of highways with free traffic flow in order to ensure access to Al Rayyan stadium.
Ashghal also improved local roads to safeguard direct fast connection with the vital places such as Al Riffa Metro, Mall of Qatar, Al Riffa Celebration Hall Complex, and Al Rayyan Sports Club.
The infrastructure of the area is well prepared with stormwater and surface water drainage networks.
Ashghal recently completed development of local roads leading to Al Rayyan Stadium and opened them to traffic.
The works included developing the roads leading to the stadium with a total length of about 5km, with two lanes in each direction.
Pedestrian paths with a length of 10km along with cycle paths with a length of 513m and running paths with a length of 513m were also developed.
Ashghal also provided dedicated parking slots for "Park and Ride" cars that connect Al Riffa Station with Al Rayyan venue.
Entrances and exits also provided direct connections with main roads leading to Al Rayyan venue and parking lots for public transport.
Ashghal constructed a deep trunk sewer extending from Al Rayyan Stadium to Al Shamal Road to collect and discharge foul flows to Pumping Station 70 at Al-Ebb and Leabaib.
The sewage will be pumped into the treatment plant in Umm Sal Municipality.
