Qatar participated in the 107th session of the Arab Economic and Social Council at the ministerial level, which was held on Thursday through video conference technology. HE the Minister of Finance Ali Shareef al-Emadi represented Qatar in the session. The meeting discussed a number of items on the agenda, including the policies that have been taken to confront the health and development implications of the coronavirus (Covid-19), and the most important measures that must be taken to alleviate the impact of the pandemic. The opening session of the meeting was attended by HE Minister of Finance of Kuwait Khalifa Musaed Hamadeh -- chairman of the previous session (106), Minister of the Economy and Trade of Lebanon Raoul Nehme -- president of the current session, and HE Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Abo Al Gheit.
