The Central Municipal Council (CMC) issued a number of recommendations addressed to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI) to study the possibility of creating a branch for the camels and fodders market west of Doha -- near Salwa Road or Al Nakhsh Area -- in coordination with the concerned entities in the country.
The members of the council saw that this would give great services and more convenient access to the camel owners in the country and would accordingly reflect positively on the livestock wealth in Qatar. The council has discussed the issue previously.
At the biweekly regular session yesterday, the council recommended the creation of a permanent centre for vehicle inspection to serve the northern areas of the country. Accordingly, it recommended that Woqod Vehicles Inspection (Fahes) should consider the use of the land plot allocated to Fahes at Al Shamal City as a temporary inspection station for vehicles offering the related services two days a week. Besides, the council recommended that Fahes should consider the possibility or reducing the charges of re-inspection of vehicles and making the third time inspection with charges half the price of the first time.
