Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG) has partnered with Mowasalat (Karwa) to bring the Karwa Taxi app on the Huawei AppGallery.
Huawei smartphone users will be able to access Karwa taxi and limousine bookings, tracking and convenient payment at all times, Huawei CBG said in a statement yesterday.
Fahad Saad al-Qahtani, CEO, Mowasalat (Karwa), said: “Our customers are at the very heart of our business, and this step directly resonates in the implementation of latest technology in our Karwa Taxi App. We are constantly evolving and embracing a more digital approach to make all our services accessible to everyone, and this partnership with Huawei brings us closer to achieving this goal.”
Through providing integrated land transport services, Mowasalat (Karwa) has been a staple in Qatar’s public transport industry and has been growing in fleet size and strength, operations, and expertise since 2004.
Mowasalat (Karwa)’s growing services include taxi and limousine services, public bus transportation and corporate bus hire, along with the introduction of the region’s first CNG-filled buses for a more environmentally conscious experience.
Ian Li, head of Huawei CBG, Middle East Multi Countries (Oman, Qatar and Bahrain) added; “Our partnership with Mowasalat (Karwa) comes in alignment with Huawei’s strategy to address and fulfil user demands through providing locally-distinctive apps.”
