Mall of Qatar (MoQ) and Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) held a blood donation campaign recently (January 21), receiving a massive response from the mall’s employees and staff, as well as shoppers, who donated blood in dedicated mobile trucks.
The event forms part of the national campaign “Qatar, It’s in our Blood”, aimed at encouraging citizens and expatriates to donate blood and support the strategic blood reserve to respond to emergencies on time.
The campaign, under the theme People live when People Give, is also part of the MoQ’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) and local efforts to support national entities, especially medical crews, as well as community members.
“The MoQ is proud to collaborate with the HMC and support their blood donation campaigns, which are extremely important to serve our community and respond to their urgent needs,” MoQ general manager Emile Sarkis said in a press statement. “Our thanks and gratitude goes to them and Qatar’s entire medical crews for their dedication and help.”
“The MoQ is committed to contributing to various initiatives that benefit our community within its social responsibility programme,” he added. “We have always contributed to such campaigns, which received a huge response from shoppers for such a noble humanitarian case.”
