Katara - the Cultural Village Foundation has announced reduced rates for water sports activities at the Katara Beach.

The details of the new offers were shared in an infographic on Katara's Twitter page on Wednesday.

Among motorised activities, a 30-minute boat ride (maximum six persons) will cost QR60 instead of QR120, according to the infographic.

Similarly, a 30-minute catamaran ride (maximum 10 persons) will cost QR100 instead of QR200, while water skiing will cost QR75 instead of QR150 for 30 minutes.

Also, parasailing will cost QR50 instead of QR100.

Among non-motorised activities, a 30-minute sea pedal boat ride |(maximum four persons) will cost QR25 instead of QR50, while a 30-minute kayak/canoe trip will also cost QR25 instead of QR50.

All activities depend on weather conditions, Katara has stressed.

Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult for any boat ride. Also, children under the following ages are not allowed to take part in certain activities: 14 years - water ski, wakeboard, kneeboard and banana (they must be accompanied by an adult); 12 years - parasailing (must be accompanied by an adult); and 18 years - Seabreacher, Jetlev and jet-ski rides.

It is compulsory to wear a life jacket for all water sports activities. Also, completing and signing the disclaimer form is also a requirement.
