The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a three-month partial closure of all the left turns on Sports Hall Intersection (Villagio Mall intersection) on Al Waab Street from Friday (January 22).

The closure implemented in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic is to enable the revamp works of the key junction.

Road users coming from Muaithar and heading for Villaggio Mall should use the left turn on Baaya Intersection or take a U-turn at Khalifa Olympic City Intersection. Road users heading from Villaggio Mall for Al Sadd should use the U-turn on Baaya Intersection instead of the left turn on Sports Hall Intersection.

Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the temporary closure and urged all to follow them and abide by the speed limit to ensure safety.
