Commercial Bank, Qatar’s first private bank, has bagged new award for 2020 from The Asian Banker for ‘The Best Cash Management and Transaction Bank in Qatar’.
According to The Asian Banker, Commercial Bank “stood out as a digital pacesetter relative to its peers in Qatar,” and this is largely due to the significant digital adoption the Bank had undertaken before the Covid-19 pandemic.
Every year, The Asian Banker underlines achievements in the key business and operational areas of the financial services industry and recognises leadership in the cash management, trade finance and payments industries amongst international financial institutions in Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa.
Judged by an international board of advisors, applicants are subject to a stringent assessment process.
Relying on innovative technologies and state-of-the-art services, Commercial Bank provides its corporate customers with a full range of cash management products and services that add value to their businesses.
These include Corporate Internet Banking, remote cheque deposit, and remittances and payment transactions enhanced by SWIFT global payment initiative (gpi) service.

In 2020, Commercial Bank has been crowned with more than 15 awards from leading awarding bodies. Some of these awards are: “Innovation in Digital Banking” award in the Middle East from The Banker, “Best Digital Bank in Qatar” award from The Asian Banker, “Excellence in Leadership in the Middle East” Award from Euromoney, “Best Performing Bank – Qatar 2020” award from The Banker and “Best Mobile Banking Application” and the “Most Innovative Digital Bank” awards in Qatar for 2020 from International Finance Magazine.
