Qatar Charity (QC) has delivered 35 blood glucose-screening devices to the Qatar Diabetes Association (QDA), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development, to support people with diabetes who are unable to afford the gadgets and their accessories.
This comes within the framework of QC's keenness to provide care for the diabetic and those at risk of becoming diabetic to improve their lives in general, according to a statement from QC.
Jassim Muhammad al-Emadi, director of Programmes and Community Development at QC, said this support comes from the existing co-operation with QDA to support the needy with diabetes and improve the level of care provided to them.
He added that QC supports QDA programmes to provide the best health services to community members with diabetes and those at risk of developing it because it helps patients and their families overcome the disease's ordeal and provide material, moral support, and care.
Dr Abdullah al-Hamak, executive director, QDA, expressed his thanks and appreciation to QC for their support to those with diabetes, which indicates their commitment to community service and development.
