The General Authority of Customs (GAC) has destroyed 5,052kg of illegal tobacco product (tambaku) seized from various ports of the country.
This was informed by GAC through its social media accounts. The products were destroyed at the waste dumping area of Mesaieed.
GAC officials have seized several shipments of the banned tobacco products at Hamad Port and Al Ruwais Port.
The maritime customs wings are equipped with latest technologies that help officials carry out inspections and thwart attempts to smuggle banned products into Qatar.
