The Ministry of Municipality and Environment's Public Gardens Department, in co-operation with the embassy of Philippines, has planted a number of saplings as part of the initiative to plant one million trees. Philippine ambassador to Qatar Alan L Timbayan and a number of embassy officials took part in the event along with Fahd Mohamed al-Kaabi, head of the gardens section at Al Daayen Municipality, municipality staff and community members.
