The Russian President's Special Envoy for Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister, Mikhail Bogdanov, held a farewell reception in Moscow in honour of Qatar's ambassador to Russia Fahd bin Mohamed al-Attiyah on the occasion of the end of his tenure. The reception was attended by the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, Leonid Slutsky, a number of senior officials of the Russian Foreign Ministry and Parliament, and a number of Arab diplomats. During the reception, Bogdanov granted the ambassador a medal of appreciation for co-operation with the Russian Foreign Ministry. Slutsky also granted the Qatari ambassador the gold medal for preserving peace and charitable work.
