The Qatar Meteorology Department has forecast strong winds, high waves and a drop in temperature on Friday and Saturday and urged to avoid all marine activities.
The dip in mercury is expected especially during the night and early morning. The maximum temperature is to range between 20C and 24C and the minimum between 11C and 18C and lower in the southern and exterior areas.
Fresh to strong northwesterly wind is expected to affect the country between Friday morning and Saturday evening, ranging between 12-22kt, gusting 30kt at times in some areas, causing blowing dust and low visibility below 3km in most areas.
Sea waves are expected to rise and range between 4-8ft, reaching 12ft at some places.
The Met Department also requested everyone to follow the latest updates through its official social media accounts.
