The Indonesian embassy in Doha continues to impose precautionary measures at its premises aimed at ensuring the safety of staff and visitors from Covid-19.

In a press statement, the embassy noted that under the direction of Indonesian ambassador Ridwan Hassan, all embassy staffs underwent a periodic swab test recently (December 20) and all tested negative from Covid-19.

Besides periodic disinfectant spray all over the embassy premises, staff and visitors are also required to show a green QR code on their Ehteraz mobile app, wear face mask, and practice social distancing, among others.

The embassy said that all these efforts aim to provide excellent service for more than 16,000 Indonesia citizens living in Qatar.

In addition, to support Indonesian citizens who are impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, the embassy co-ordinates the distribution of 874 packages of daily needs.

The packages are provided by the embassy, donated by members of the Indonesian community in Qatar and as result of good cooperation with Qatar Charity.

“The protection of Indonesian citizens abroad is one of the main focus of Indonesian foreign policy, and the embassy is committed to ensure the protection for its citizens,” the embassy said.
