The award was received by Brigadier Abdul Rahman Ali al-Farahid al-Maliki, assistant director general of Information Systems, according to a MoI statement.

The ceremony also witnessed the graduation of the new batches of MoI officials from the Qatar Digital Government Training Programme (QDGTP).

Brig al-Maliki said Metrash2 won the award for its excellence in terms of use and the facilities of completing direct transactions without the need to visit the Ministry’s service departments or any security centre. “MoI is proud that the Metrash2 app has been winning many awards for mobile applications for ten consecutive years, due to its ease of use and the availability of a large number of services in it,” he said.

He added that other services will be added with Metrash2 in the near future pointing out that QDGTP has provided the required training for government agencies raising the level of employees' skills in the field of computer usage and information systems. It also provided them with leadership skills related to electronic systems and solving electronic problems that help them perform their work in the future.
