India-based National Human Rights and Humanitarian Federation (NHRF) recently gave away the Business Excellence Award 2020 to Qatari businessman Nasser Ali Jadeed Zamil al-Ali, for his service, helping attitude and outstanding humanitarian activities.
Al-Ali has been cited for making significant contributions towards the welfare of his expatriate staff members hailing from different countries.
Al-Ali is chairman of Nasser Al Ali Enterprise. Started with 12 Nepali employees in 2005, the company now has more than 3,000 workers.
Al-Ali also supports orphan kids in Nepal. In 2010, he built Madrasa Islamiya Faizool Uloom in Gyalchowk, Gorkha in the west of Nepal, where disadvantaged children are receiving food, shelter and free education.
Al-Ali is admired for providing education expenses to his employees’ children. He believes that every child has a right to get education in the 21st century. “Education can change lives,” he says. “I feel the pleasure of taking responsibility to change lives of those children who wouldn’t have been able to change their lives otherwise.”
Al-Ali is also taking care of the education and health needs of many of his employees’ family members. More than 300 children and 100 other family members have received financial assistance for educational and medical purposes.
“I can’t ignore my workers’ problems if they share it with me.” Al-Ali also helped in building the houses of his Nepali employees after the structures collapsed during the earthquake
 in 2015.
