Ooredoo, Qatar’s leading enabler of digital transformation, has been awarded Microsoft ‘Gold Partnership’ status; thus enabling the telecom major to strengthen the relations with the global technology mammoth.
The coveted status, awarded to a small number of organisations providing Microsoft products and services, confirms Ooredoo’s commitment to maintaining the highest of standards.
The status will also mean the telecommunications leader will enjoy a deeper level of working relationship with the technology giant.
In order to achieve Gold status, partners must demonstrate the highest levels of technical excellence with Microsoft Azure technologies, and a firm commitment to meeting developing customer needs including those for a collaborative, secure and productive working environment.
Microsoft Gold certification enables partners to access the latest Microsoft technology products and services, as well as ongoing training and enablement.
With Ooredoo’s Cloud Services portfolio, its business customers can decide to utilise Azure Stack to host part of the application data in-country, with another part either in the same Azure Stack, or in Microsoft’s global cloud, or hybrid cloud solution.
Customers can also access the Azure Marketplace of certified, open source, and community apps, developer services, and data.
"Our customers can rest assured we meet, or exceed, the stringent standards expected by Microsoft, and can rely on us to meet their demands and expectations with the backing of Microsoft,” said Sheikh Nasser al-Thani, chief business officer, Ooredoo.
"We are extremely excited to take Microsoft and Ooredoo partnership forward to empower our customers to achieve more through the power of cloud,” said Lana Khalaf, country manager at Microsoft Qatar.
