*Majlis showcases Qatar's matchless sport facilities that can deliver a magical experience to the OCA family if Doha won the 2030 Asian Games bid
*OCA Executive Board meeting begins Tuesday in Muscat


The President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al-Thani , launched the Doha Majlis Monday at the JW Marriott Hotel Muscat in the presence of Sayyied Khalid bin Hamed al-Busaidi, Chairman of Oman Olympic Committee (OOC) and other dignitaries.
The majlis, located near the main hall of the venue for the 39th General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia, features all the details of Doha's 2030 bid file and Qatar's main sport facilitates, which are being showcased to visitors.





















The presentation covered Qatar's world-class public transport system and the venues which are reachable within 30 minutes from each other and the eight integrated sports complexes with all the advantages and facilities where 54 sport activities can be conducted including 41 Olympic sports and 13 non-Olympic sports which belong to the Asian heritage.
The Qatari Majlis received a large number of guests including representatives of various National Olympic Committees and others , who came in order to be acquainted with the details of the Qatari file.
Jeevan Ram Shrestha , head of the Nepalese Olympic Committee, said that he had visited Qatar several times, and he was surprised in each of his visits by the amazing and rapid developments in sports facilities in the Gulf country, pointing out that he was present at the 2006 Asian Games as the director of the Nepalese delegation at the time.
The 74th Executive Board Meeting of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) will begin in Muscat Tuesday at Kempinski Hotel. The Oman Olympic Committee, the organiser, is set to start the meetings in accordance with the medical protocol after completion of all the technical and logistic preparations. The agenda of the executive board meeting includes roll call of the previous meeting, address by the OCA president and reports on the visit of the evaluation committee to Doha and Riyadh, the candidate cities for hosting 2030 Asian Games. Also, the meeting will discuss the reports by chairperson of the Standing Committee. The new executive board will also meet. Shaikh Ahmed al-Fahad al-Sabah, chairman of OCA, will take part in the meeting.
The executive board meeting will be followed by the 39th General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia tomorrow at the JW Marriott Hotel Muscat.
As many as 25 representatives from national Olympic committees will attend the meeting while 20 representatives will join virtually through the MSTeams platform.
Hosting of the 2030 Asian Games tops the agenda of the General Assembly.
Doha and Riyadh are the two competing cities which have submitted their bids to host the 2030Asian Games. Delegations of both cities will give a visual presentation on the details of their respective bids and their main features and facilities.
It will be followed by the OCA’s official committee presenting its report on the outcome of its visit to both cities.
Voting will be conducted through a secured online system and the result will be announced accordingly. Later, the orgainsing committee of the winner city will sign the contract with OCA to host the games.
During the meeting, OCA will also sign the contract with the Organising Committee of the Asian Youth Games Tashkent 2025. The Olympic Solidarity at the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will review its latest developments in the sports arena.
Progress made by the Association of National Olympic Committees will be discussed at the meeting , including visual presentations and reports from the organising committees of the Asian sessions.
Among the other topics on the agenda are: Reviewing the preparations for hosting the Sixth Asian Beach Games (Sanya - China), the Third Asian Youth Games (Shantou - China), the Sixth Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (Thailand), and the Nineteenth Asian Games (Hangzhou - China 2022).
