Qatar Charity (QC) and Lusail University signed an agreement to collaborate in the fields of education and training, research, and studies related to the development and humanitarian work.

The signatories were Faisal Rashid al-Fahida, assistant CEO for the Programmes and Community Development Sector at QC, and Sheikha Abdul Raziq Marafie, vice president for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Lusail University.

The pact was inked in the presence of Lusail University Board of Trustees chairman HE Dr Ali bin Fetais al-Marri and QC CEO Yousef bin Ahmed al-Kuwari.


 

Al-Fahida explained that the agreement stems from the belief of Qatar Charity in the importance of co-operation that helps achieve sustainable development goals, strengthen humanitarian response efforts, and find solutions to problems in light of the increasing crises and disasters across the world, in addition to enhancing the capabilities of human resources.

Sheikha Marafie said that the pact would contribute to achieving the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the sustainable development goals, noting that it highlights the delightful humanitarian role of Qatar and its institutions in support of education worldwide.

This agreement aims to co-operate in various research fields of common interest such as working on conflict issues, education, training, research and applied studies related to the development and humanitarian work.

It also includes co-operation in organising workshops and training courses, multilingual translation, scholarships, vocational training, and employment for Lusail University students, in addition to collaboration in training executive leadership of QC by Lusail University.
