Kosovo’s ambassador to Qatar Amir Ahmadi has emphasised the depth of the Qatari-Kosovan bilateral relations, seeing these relations as solid and based on mutual respect.
The envoy praised the role that Qatar plays in the international arena, describing it as important, pivotal, and inspiring to small countries.
"The resolve of Qatar’s leadership and people has made Qatar a major contributor to building peace in the world," he said.
He lauded Qatar's efforts in combating corruption and its support for the activities of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, as well as the launch of the Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani International Award for Excellence in Combating Corruption, and Qatar’s material and moral contribution to preserving the environment by supporting the United Nations’ goals in addition to the numerous contributions, which he described as a model for Kosovo.
In a statement to the Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion of Qatar National Day, the ambassador offered sincere congratulations to Qatar's leadership and people, noting that the celebration of the national day of each country becomes more important when it culminates in success.
"Everyone has witnessed the development and economic success of the State of Qatar. Therefore, the celebration of the National Day and the revival of this occasion becomes more important and necessary," Ahmadi said.
On the efforts exerted by the state and the measures taken by the relevant ministries and committees to contain and prevent the coronavirus pandemic, the envoy praised the measures taken by Qatar to curb the spread of the coronavirus and reduce its effects, which he said has gained the praise of the whole world.
