The 13th edition of the Milipol Qatar Exhibition by the Milipol Qatar Committee will be held from March 15 to 17, 2021, at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC). The event, one of the leading international exhibitions in internal security and civil defence sectors, was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a statement from the Ministry of Interior on Thursday said.
The exhibition organising committee held continuous discussions with the most important partners and sectors to face the challenges arising from the repercussions of the pandemic.
Major General Nasser bin Fahd al-Thani, chairman of the organising committee, said that the exhibition was postponed in the wake of the current circumstances and the efforts exerted globally to limit the spread of Covid-19. “We postponed the exhibition due to the international restrictions imposed on travel by various countries. I hope that the decision to postpone the exhibition will ensure an increase in attendance when the exhibition is held in March,” he added.
The organising committee has pointed out the possibility of electronic registration to attend the exhibition for visitors and exhibitors. The exhibition team will make the best preparation for the launch of more inspiring and valuable additions to the 13th edition.
Milipol Qatar 2021 exhibition is an important platform that helps the public access everything related to the field of internal security and civil defence in the Middle East, which is witnessing rapid growth driven by technical developments as well as the growth of internal health and safety requirements in the wake of the spread of the Covid-19. The Milipol Qatar event attracts the most prominent bodies in the public and industrial security sector around the world. The exhibition showcases the latest innovative products and services in the areas of security and safety, protection and prevention devices.
The event meets a large part of the growing security need of Qatar in line with National Vision 2030, the statement added.
