Ooredoo, key regional driver of the Supernet, has partnered with HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, to distribute the Finnish telecomms giant’s “most advanced handset to date” across Qatar. 
The Nokia 8.3 5G, the first Nokia 5G smartphone in Qatar, features 128GB memory, 8GB RAM and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G Modular Platform, which is optimised for 5G and global roaming, Ooredoo has said in a statement.
The smartphone is designed to support multiple and evolving 5G network deployments, with support for both standalone and non-standalone 5G combinations, which operators are rolling out around the globe. The Nokia 8.3 5G condenses more than 40 different radio frequency components into a single module, making it not only a global device, but also a future-proof smartphone that is ready for the next step in 5G, the statement notes.
The Nokia 8.3 5G also comes with a powerful 64-megapixel PureView quad camera with Zeiss optics. It comes in Polar Night, a colour Finnish brand Nokia describes as inspired by the arctic sky, and carries a retail selling price of QR1,999. Customers purchasing their new Nokia 8.3 5G via the Ooredoo eShop will get a free 128GB memory card and double Nojoom Points on their purchase.
