* Cabinet welcomes results of sixth session of Qatar-Turkey Supreme Strategic Committee

The Cabinet has discussed the necessary measures to be taken to issue a draft law approving the State budget for the fiscal year 2021, Qatar News Agency (QNA) has reported. This came after the Cabinet reviewed the recommendations of the Shura Council on the draft law, according to QNA. HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz al-Thani on Wednesday chaired the Cabinet's regular meeting at the Amiri Diwan.

The Cabinet was yesterday briefed by HE the Minister of Public Health on the latest developments regarding the efforts made to contain the spread of Covid-19. The Cabinet stressed the importance of precautionary measures in combating the pandemic.
Following the meeting, HE the Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Dr Issa bin Saad al-Jafali al-Nuaimi issued a statement giving the details of the proceedings. At the beginning of the meeting, the Cabinet welcomed the results of the sixth session of the Qatar-Turkey Supreme Strategic Committee , which was held in Ankara last Thursday under the chairmanship of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The Cabinet affirmed that the discussions of the Qatari-Turkish summit reflected the depth of the strong strategic relations between the two countries, and the common understanding, solidarity and desire prevailing to enhance and develop them in various fields, especially political, economic, investment, defence, energy, education, transportation and sports.
The fruitful results of the meeting of the Supreme Strategic Committee in its sixth session was highlighted, and the agreements, memoranda and declarations signed during that period, to enhance co-operation and understanding, to open new horizons for the development of the strategic partnership between the two countries, for the good and the interests of the brotherly peoples.
The Cabinet also considered the following topics on the agenda:
* Approval of a draft of the first executive programme for a co-operation agreement in the cultural and artistic field between the governments of Qatar and Kuwait for the years 2021-2023; a draft agreement between the governments of Qatar and Rwanda regarding the elimination of double taxation in relation to income taxes and the prevention of tax evasion and avoidance; and a draft agreement between the government of Qatar and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) regarding the establishment of the United Nations Development Programme office in Doha.
The preparation of the draft agreement comes within the framework of the state's keenness to promote and improve the sustainable development goals at the national and global levels, in addition to enhancing co-operation programmes in areas of common interest between the government of Qatar and the UNDP.
* The Cabinet reviewed the results of Meeting 23 of the ministers concerned with municipal affairs in the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, which was held on 10/11/2020 via videoconference, and took the appropriate decisions regarding it.
