The Digital Incubation Centre (DIC) at the Ministry of Transport and Communications participated in the ‘3rd QDB Investment Forum’ organised virtually by Qatar Development Bank (QDB).
The forum, which came under the theme ‘Business Transformation & Growth’, was held with platinum sponsorship by the Ministry of Transport and Communications, and was widely attended by investors and entrepreneurs.
Commenting on DIC’s participation at the forum, Duha al-Buhendi, Digital Incubation Centre manager, said: “Our participation in this year's edition of the investment forum comes as a result of our keenness to connect our incubated startups with a wide network of local and international investors. Our incubated startups learned about other companies' experiences in securing financing.”
During the forum, DIC incubated startups Snoonu, Skipcash, EduCarso, Find a Nurse, and Ringdeem pitched their startups to investors in attendance.
The DIC was established by the Ministry of Transport and Communications in 2011 with the aim to promote digital entrepreneurship and to establish an ecosystem that supports digital startups’ growth in Qatar.
Through its partnership with QDB and other leading local and regional institutions, DIC seeks to facilitate entrepreneurs’ accessibility to necessary funding sources to develop their startups.
