Chances of scattered, intermittent rain will continue in the country until the middle of this week, the Qatar Met department has said.
Cloudy conditions will prevail until Monday as a result of the "extension of an upper-level trough of a low-pressure system" that is concentrated over the northwest Arabian Peninsula, according to a report issued by the Met department on social media yesterday.
The chances of scattered rain will continue in intermittent periods, and it may turn to thundery rain in some places, the report states. The rain will vary in intensity and may be accompanied by strong winds, which will lead to blowing dust and low visibility at times.
A marine warning is expected tomorrow as thundery rain is likely along with strong winds and high seas.
The Met department has urged people to be careful and avoid all marine activities during the warning period, as well as follow the latest updates through its official accounts.
Today's detailed forecast says thundershowers are expected in some places along with strong winds. The wind speed may go up to 25 knots during thundery rain.
Moderate daytime temperature is expected today along with partly cloudy conditions, and there is a possibility of scattered rain that may become thundery in places. Blowing dust is also likely at times.
In offshore areas, scattered clouds and partly cloudy conditions have been forecast at times.
The temperature is expected to range from 21C to 28C in Doha today.
