* 79 labourers benefit from camp held at Asian Town

The Indian embassy and the Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF) on Friday organised a special consular camp at the Amphitheatre, Grand Mall, Asian Town, facilitating passport and attestation services for Indian workers living in Asian Town.

Indian ambassador Dr Deepak Mittal interacted with the applicants and announced that the embassy will hold a special consular camp once every month at Asian Town and separate consular camps in different parts of Qatar to facilitate passport/consular services for Indian nationals.

A total of 79 labourers benefited from the consular camp held on Friday.

The services rendered included 44 pertaining to passports, 27 attestation (including 15 for power-of-attorney) and eight for police clearance.

Earlier, the Indian mission had organised a consular camp for attestation services on November 21 on the embassy premises.

A total of 511 attestation services were rendered for community members on that occasion.
