The Department of Meteorology Wednesday warned of fluctuating weather conditions from Thursday with thundery rains, strong winds, blowing dust and reduced visibility.
The Met Deprtmement said the presence of clouds is expected to increase gradually from Thursday until the beginning of next week with chances of scattered rain in intermittent periods. The rain may range mostly between light to moderate in intensity which can become thundery at places at times especially offshore.
The wind during this period will be mainly southeasterly which will be moderate to fresh in speed that may become strong during the thundery rain. The wind gust expected to exceed 30 kt associated with low visibility and blowing dust at times. The wave height will rise to more than 8 FT offshore. Maximum temperatures expected to range between 24-30 C during daytime and the minimum between 16-23 C by night in different areas.
Meteorology Department urged all to be careful and to follow latest updates through its official accounts as this transitional period of weather.
