Katara-The Cultural Village Foundation is set to launch on Sunday four stamps featuring drawings of children winning the first places in a Katara contest, 'Make a drawing.' This the second issue of stamps by Katara to document its most important and recent events. 
The first issue of stamps took place in May 2015 to commemorate the launch of Katara Arab Novel Award. The latest contest was launched as part of Katara children's festival in November 2019 on the occasion of the World Children's Day in Co-operation with Qatar Post. Entries were received until April 30 this year. In June, the six winners were announced out of 390 participants submitting 572 drawings. The participants were between seven to 14 years old from 10 different Arab and non-Arab countries.
The winners of the first places, whose drawings were converted into stamps, are Najlaa al-Dirham (9 years, Qatar), Ilhem Boughanmi (11 years, France), Abdullah Yousef al-Mulla (13 years, Qatar), and Simra Shamshad (14 years, India).
The first six winners got awards of QR 2,500 each while the first four winners got their drawings featured on postal stamps as well. Officials from Qatar Post will take part in the to launch the new four stamps.
