The Middle East International School (MIS) has become one of the only two schools in Qatar to receive the prestigious NEASC-ACE accreditation.
NEASC is an independent, voluntary, non-profit membership organisation which connects and serves public, independent and international schools in the US and worldwide.
Specifically, NEASC-ACE accreditation is a system of accountability that is ongoing, voluntary and comprehensive in scope based on a very rigorous set of standards which define high quality, effective learning communities and encompass all aspects of a school’s operation.
The accreditation was awarded for four years and the team commended MIS on the level of engagement and excitement across all levels of the school community in pursuing the ACE pathway to accreditation, knowing that this process will further student-centred learning across the school. “The visitors also commend the school leadership on efforts to ensure a smooth-running school during a global pandemic.”
Salem Rashid Thani al-Mohanadi, founder and chairman of the school, stated; “This is a historic day for our school as this accreditation signifies that a change in learning and teaching at MIS has been happening and that the dramatic change is now recognised internationally. Congratulations to our leadership team and all staff at MIS for their hard work. Your love of learning and care for our students is creating opportunities for our students and families which benefit all of Qatar.”
