The Amiri Guard celebrated the conclusion of the 7th edition of the infantry competition for 2020, and the graduation of four foundation courses with the presence of the Commander of the Amiri Guard, Major General Hazza bin Khalil al-Shahwani, the Deputy Commander of the Amiri Guard, the Inspector General, the assistants of the Commander of the Amiri Guard, and a number of department and group leaders, officers from the Qatar Armed Forces, and the Internal Security Force of Lekhwiya.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the general report of the competition in which seven factions took part and lasted for two weeks was presented, and the results were as follows: The Protocols Group won the first place as the best faction, and the first place was awarded as the best factions leaders to Lieutenant Muhammad Saafq Al Anzi.

On this occasion, the Commander of the Protocols Group Brigadier General Hitmi Muhammad al-Hitmi, expressed his happiness at achieving first place in the competition that is organised annually, in which the various departments and groups of the Amiri Guard took part.

Al Hitmi explained that the competition is a preparation to participate in the national march to celebrate the country's national day.

He pointed out that the key to success always comes from teamwork, co-operation of all elements, and diligence in training, in order to achieve the desired goal.








He added that the competition aims primarily to emphasize the importance of infantry training as one of the basic and important pillars of military control and linkage, as well as the fact that it promotes teamwork, and contributes to reaching the highest levels of readiness.

For his part, the Chairman of the Infantry Contest Committee Captain Mubarak Ali al-Nuaimi, pointed out that the distinguished level at which the competitions of the 7th edition appeared, reflected the level of competence and readiness enjoyed by the different groups of the Amiri Guard.

He explained that this year the competition was attended by seven factions from different groups and departments, and it consists of 5 committees that oversee the accurate tests that all participants are subject to.

Regarding the graduation of a number of foundational and qualifying courses, the Acting Commander of the Amiri Guard School Colonel Ali Arahma Al Muraikhi, said that through the directives of the Amiri Guard Command, the focus has been on enhancing training outputs and keeping abreast of modern and advanced developments in the training process in order to reach the highest levels of readiness.

Al Muraikhi added that the participants carried out a joint exercise at the conclusion of the sessions, which included many tactical dilemmas, and it was divided into two parts, the first of which was a planning aspect and was assigned to the minor staff session, and the other was an executive aspect that was assigned to the two founding qualifying sessions of officers and agents.

In conclusion, the Commander of the Amiri Guard crowned the winners in various branches of the competition, and honored course graduates.
