The UK has added Qatar to its list of travel corridors, the Qatar embassy in London said in a tweet on Thursday. This means people arriving into the UK from Qatar are exempt from quarantine, starting at 4am on Saturday. According to information available on the UK government's website, Qatar has been added to the travel corridor list following a decrease in risk from coronavirus in the Gulf country. Passengers arriving into the UK from Qatar will no longer need to self-isolate "so long as they haven’t been in or transited through any other non-exempt countries in the 14 days preceding their arrival", the website states.
