His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met on Wednesday with the visiting Italian Minister of Defence Lorenzo Guerini, and the accompanying delegation.
At the beginning of the meeting at the Amiri Diwan, Guerini conveyed the thanks of Italian President Sergio Mattarella and his appreciation to His Highness the Amir for Qatar's support for Italy during the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, as Qatar was one of the first countries that provided medical aid.
During the meeting, they reviewed relations between the two countries and means of supporting them, in addition to the most prominent regional and international developments.
