The General Cleanliness Department's Islands and Beaches Section has carried out a cleaning campaign at Buflaitah Island near Buruq beach. Around six tonnes of wood waste and other refuse were lifted. The owner of a camp in the locality took part in the campaign and transported some of the waste in his boat.
