HE the Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen al-Ghanem met Tuesday with Italian Deputy Chief of the Defence General Staff for the Third Division, Major General Massimo Biagini, on the sidelines of the 13th meeting of the Qatari-Italian Higher Military Committee in Doha.
The meeting reviewed the military relations between the two sides and ways to enhancing them.
The committee held its meeting on November 2-3, in the presence of President of the International Military Co-operation Authority Brigadier General Abdulaziz Saleh al-Sulaiti and Major General Biagini.
The committee discussed the close relations between the Qatari Armed Forces and the Italian Armed Forces and ways to strengthen them. The two sides signed a protocol for joint military co-operation for 2021, regarding joint activities between the two sides in all military fields.
The meetings were attended by Qatari Military Attache to the Italian Republic Brigadier General Hilal Ali al-Mohannadi, and a number of officers from both sides.
