The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ has announced the implementation of a closure on Jabr Bin Mohamed Street, with a length of 600 metres, between the Islamic Museum Intersection and Al Mirqab Roundabout, where one lane will be closed in each direction and a lane will remain open to traffic, as of Friday 06 November 2020 for a period of 12 months, in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic. The closure aims to allow the implementation of infrastructure development and beautification works on Jabr bin Mohamed Street, as part of the Doha central Development and Beautification Projects - Package 2.
Also, a closure on Abdullah bin Jassim Street exit towards the Islamic Museum Intersection will be implemented. Road users can use Jabr bin Mohamed Street and make a u-turn from Al Mirqab Roundabout to reach their destination as shown in the map.
In addition, a closure will be implemented on Islamic Museum Intersection, for the exit from Al Corniche Street to Jabr Bin Mohamed Street and vice versa. During closure, the Intersection users can use the following intersection to make a U-turn and continue to their destinations.
The Public Works Authority will install sufficient road signage to alert road users with this closure. In order to ensure safety of all, commutes need to abide by the speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
