A blue moon appeared in the Qatar sky yesterday evening. It was the second of two full moons to appear in October, and that gives this year 13 full moons instead of the usual 12. The moon doesn’t actually look blue, and the second full moon in one month is usually referred to as a blue moon. Blue moons occur on an average once every 2.5 years or so and the last one was seen in March 2018, according to information available online. The image above was captured in Al Wakra.
