The Agricultural Affairs Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) has announced that fresh vegetables from local farms will be available for sale at all five local produce yards from Thursday.
The five yards - Al Mazrouah, Al Wakra, Al Khor & Al Thakhira, Al Shamal and Al Sheehaniya - will operate from 7am to 4pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday every week, the MME said in a tweet.
Accordingly, the necessary preparations have been made at the five yards before resuming operations from Thursday for the new season.

Some 150 local farms are set to take part in the new season and supply their fresh products for sale at these yards, and the number of farms could increase as the season continues, according to an official.
