Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi held a phone call with his Afghan counterpart, Mohammed Haneef Atmar.
During the call, the Pakistani Foreign Minister affirmed his country's desire for stability, peace and prosperity for Afghanistan, stressing the importance of Afghan-Afghan dialogue to achieve lasting peace.
Qureshi said that the talks between the Afghan parties provide an opportunity for peace, pointing out that peace in Afghanistan is linked to stability and peace in the region, Pakistan's News Agency reported.
Pakistan's Foreign Minister reiterated that his country will continue its efforts to promote stability and peace in the region, including Afghanistan.
