Vladmir Dasic scored a match-high 30 points to power Al Sadd into the semi-finals of the Amir Cup with a resounding 102-77 win over Al Rayyan Tuesday.
Dasic had a remarkable 73.3 percent field goal conversion rate and was ably supported by Konstantinos Vasileaidis who not only scored 29 points but also provided 12 assists at the Al Gharafa Sports Club.
Faisal Abuissa and captain Babacar Dieng also excelled with 16 and 15 points respectively as Al Sadd dominated the game, holding the lead for almost 35-and-a-half minutes.
Al Sadd led 24-21 at the end of the first quarter but kept on increasing their advantage as the game progressed.
With just 10 minutes remaining they were 81-59 ahead all but ensuring their victory which they ultimately sealed with considerable ease.
Al Sadd scored 30 points from turnovers while Al Rayyan had just 10. The winners also came up with 21 fast break points as against Al Rayyan’s 10
For Al Rayyan, Musa Abdul Haleem was the top-scorer with 29, while Mohamed Hassan scored 19.
