Waseem scored 59 runs in a 56-run win of Hilti Qatar over DejaWu Club in the first match of the Qatar Airways Cricket Tournament. 
The QCA, under the Presidency of Yousef Jeham al-Kuwari, began the sporting activities at the West Bay Grounds following all the precautions and protocols related to the coronavirus pandemic, issued by the State of Qatar. 
After winning the toss, Hilti Qatar appeared in good nick and collected runs at a brisk pace in their Division C match. 
Two partnerships played important roles in lifting the score to a formidable 188 for five. 
Opener Moin (23 with four boundaries) and Shehabudin (37 in 22 balls with seven fours) added 46 runs for the second wicket. 
It was followed by an entertaining fourth-wicket alliance of 43 runs, shared by man-of-the-match Waseem and Shabir Husain. 
Waseem smashed eight fours and two sixes in his 27-ball cameo to get 59, while Husain added 15 runs. 
Later Faizan got a six and three fours in his 13-ball 27 not out. 
DejaWu Club kept themselves on the course in the beginning when they were 81 for three, but later Hilti Qatar snapped five wickets wickets to forge the big victory. 
Paranthaman led the resistance as he hit three fours in 43 off 42 balls. Munir (three for 23) and Imran Faraz (two for 11) were the main bowlers for the winners.
