HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah, and British Minister of Defence Ben Wallace, participated in the opening ceremony of the Joint Squadron Command Building No. (12), which is based in the Coningsby base in the United Kingdom.
During the opening ceremony, some military parades were held, in addition to a joint sortie on Typhoon planes.
The ceremony was attended by Qatar's Ambassador to the United Kingdom Yousef Ali al-Khater, the Qatari military attache to UK Colonel Ali Muhammad al-Fadala, and a number of senior officers in the Qatari Armed Forces.
After the ceremony, HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs held a meeting with British Defence Minister Wallace.
During the meeting, a number of military issues of mutual interest were discussed between the two friendly countries, in addition to the latest regional and international developments.
