The Shura Council participated Tuesday in the virtual Global Parliamentary Forum, organised under the theme "Achieving a Green and Inclusive Recovery Post Covid-19" by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, in co-operation with the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund.
The Global Forum provided an opportunity for parliamentarians to meet and participate in direct talks on development and issues related to the global economy with senior management and experts from the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund.
The forum also provided parliamentarians with updated information about the Bank and the Fund's priorities and strategic orientations, as well as a platform for exchanging knowledge, enhancing parliamentary participation and achieving better development results.
In addition, the forum allowed parliamentarians to have direct access to the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund and to enhance the possibilities for dialogue and influence, especially at the local and regional levels.
The Shura Council was represented in the forum by Council members HE Mubarak bin Saif al-Mansouri and HE Khalid bin Mohamed Ajaj al-Kubaisi.
