Qatar Chamber, in co-operation with the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs (Madlsa), has organised a virtual workshop for the private sector to raise awareness on services offered by the Labour Section and the e-services provided by the ministry via its website and ‘Amerni’ application.
The webinar aimed to enhance communication with business owners and representatives of companies and to inform them on labour-related issues, Qatar Chamber said in a statement.
During the webinar, Ali al-Khalaf, head of Awareness Guidance and Labour at Madlsa, outlined the most important services offered by the Labour Relations Department and Recruitment Department at the ministry.
Al-Khalaf responded to queries of participants, which were related to procedures of changing workplace, work contracts, digital certification of contracts, arrangements for working conditions, determining working hours in open workplaces, housing for workers, termination of contracts, and the wage protection system.
The webinar falls in line with the decision of the co-ordinating committee between the chamber and Madlsa to hold a series of virtual workshops for the private sector to raise awareness on labour issues and the services offered by the ministry.
