* Katara to host international hunting and falcons exhibition from October 20 to 24
* More than 80% of exhibition space prepared
* Online falcon auction to take place

Katara - the Cultural Village Foundation has said it is gearing up to host the fourth edition of S’hail - Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition 2020 from October 20 to 24.
The event will provide an opportunity for some 112 companies from 13 countries to display their best offerings during the exhibition, Katara has said in a statement.
Besides Qatar, the list of countries includes Kuwait, Pakistan, the US, the UK, Spain, Turkey, Belgium, Lebanon, Portugal, Romania, France and Hungary.

The event will be held in partnership with key sponsors such as Qatar Airways, the Social and Sporting Activities Support Fund (Daam), Ooredoo and Qatar Insurance Company.
Stressing that the 2020 edition of S'hail will be an exceptional one, Katara said it will fully comply with all the precautionary and preventive measures adopted by the country in the fight against Covid-19. It is expected to provide an important marketing and economic platform to display the best equipment and products in the field, through the participation of the 112 specialised companies.
Work has been progressing steadily at Katara's Al Hikma Square, where the event will be held, and more than 80% of the exhibition space is already prepared. The event is expected to receive thousands of visitors from Qatar and abroad.

accompanying activities, such as the display of handicrafts and falconry necessities, in addition to some heritage and cultural programmes.
He said hunting enthusiasts and lovers will also be able to take part in an online falcon auction through a special smartphone application to reduce direct interaction among participants at the venue. Besides, the transactions will be conducted through bank transfers to avoid touching cash or bank cards.
As for the entry of visitors, he explained that it would be done through e-registration and pre-booking via the S’hail 2020 website to maintain the health and safety of all.
Abdulaziz al-Sayid, director of S’hail 2020, said this edition of the exhibition will see the launch of two contests - one for the most beautiful commercial stall with the first prize of QR20,000, and the other for the most beautiful falcon veil with three prizes allocated for the three best designs.
The organising committee will also host a varied group of cafes and restaurants that will prepare fresh meals on the occasion while following the necessary Covid-19 precautions.
