Ambassador Al Emadi said that 100,000 families will benefit from the aid, with each family set to receive a $100. His Excellency stressed that the disbursement will take place with the required medical precautions adopted by the Palestinian Ministry of Health to contain Covid-19 in place. He added that this will be done to ensure the safety of those benefiting from the aid, and to ensure they maintain social distancing.
He stressed that the Qatari committee, along with the designated authorities led by the Ministry of Social Development and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, will oversee the disbursement effort in order to ensure the highest standards of safety and security, in light of the spread of the coronavirus in Gaza.
