The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) represented by Protection and Wildlife Department has announced the registration process for winter camping season 2020-2021.

The announcement was made during a press conference held at the Headquarters of the Ministry today .Interested candidates can submit their applications through government service centers operating across the country or through Ministry website www.mme.gov.qa or Aoun application.

The registration process will be done in three phases. The registration will open on October 11 to receive applications for camping in Al Shamal, Al Ghashamiyah, Sealine, Ras Matbakh, Arida, Zekrit, Al Nqian, Al Kharara, Ashiraj, Al Sariyah and Umm Al Maa. The camping will begin from October 13.

On the second phase, the registration will start on October 14 for camping in Al Reem Reserve, Al Marona, Al Mazrouha, Umm Al Aafai, Al Hasham, Abu Zahlof, Al Zubara, Al Udaid, Al Khuraij South and Bu Samra and camping starts from October 16.





The third phase registration will begin on October 18 and will be for camping in Rawdat Rashed, Rawdat Aisha, Al Khor, Al Waab, Imgaitna, Al Ghariyah, Al Mufair, Ras Al Nouf, Al Otouryah, Al Saneah and Al Rees West. The camping will start from October 20


Assistant of the Director of the Department of Protection and Wildlife Talib Khalid Al-Shahwani, A security deposit of QR10,000 has to be paid which will be refundable once the season ends after the inspection is carried out according to the requirements.  Apart from this, a non-refundable fee of QR3,000 is levied as rent for the area. For places which are listed as coastal or as natural reserve, a fee of QR10,000 will be charged.


He explained that the Ministry has coordinated and cooperated with all concerned government agencies regarding the procedures and requirements to ensure security, safety and health, to ensure the safety of the campers, and to protect and preserve the environment during the camping season, expressing his hope that all campers will cooperate to preserve the environment and preserve its resources.
