The Music Lovers Group in Qatar held a condolence meet online for Sripathi Panditaradhyula Balasubrahmanyam, who was born on June 4, 1946 and died on September 25, 2020. He was also called as S P Balasubrahmanyam.
S P Balasubrahmanyam was an Indian musician, playback singer, music director, actor, dubbing artist, and film producer who worked predominantly in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, and Malayalam films.
P Unnikrishnan, Carnatic vocalist and playback singer, attended the meeting and offered his condolences, while Unni Menon, playback singer, also conveyed his condolences through the video along with a song in S P Balasubrahmanyam’s tribute.
The online meeting was also attended by community leaders namely: Dr R Seetharaman, CEO Doha Bank: Manikandan A P, ICC president; P N Baburajan, ICBF president; Azim Abbas, IBPC president; K M Varghese, Deepak Shetty, Milan Arun, Girish Kumar, Seenu Pillai, S A M Basheer, Mohamed Essa, and K R Jayraj from KBF; Prasad Koderu and Srirajavijayan from QTS; Govindan Kutty and Rahmatullah from TRAQ; and  Abdulla Monu.
All of them spoke about S P Balasubrahmanyam, recounted their personal experience with the singer and offered condolences. Some of the hit songs of S P Balasubrahmanyam were sung by the local singers namely; Malini Balachandran, Saleem Pavarthy and Preethi Vinod. Nagarajan Veleppan recited a poem on S P Balasubrahmanyam. 
Senior community leader Gopal Balasubramaniam hosted the meet. Vinod V Nair co-ordinated the condolences narrations while Rajesh Singh proposed the vote of thanks.
S P Balasubrahmanyam had a world record for recording the highest number of songs by a singer with over 40,000 songs and a rare distinction of rendering the most songs in a single day by any singer. He recorded 21 songs in Kannada for the composer Upendra Kumar in Bengaluru from 9am to 9pm on February 8, 1981. Furthermore, he also recorded 19 songs in Tamil in one day and 16 songs in Hindi in a single day.
