More than 1.05mn gallons of water was removed in 321 shifts by the rain emergency teams at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) various areas under Al Shamal Municipality.
It had rained heavily in Al Shamal on Wednesday.
The rain emergency operations room received eight reports from the public about rainwater accumulation in some areas of the municipality and they were dealt with immediately.
The authorities concerned also removed some trees that fell due to the strong winds and rains that occurred in some areas of Al Shamal Municipality, a statement added.
