*Offers condolences to Kuwait Amir, members of the ruling family

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani participated on Wednesday in the funeral prayer on the body of Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah at Bilal bin Rabah Mosque in Kuwait.
His Highness the Personal Representative of the Amir Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani participated in the prayer.
Also attending the prayer were Sheikhs, ministers and members of the official delegation accompanying the Amir.
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani offered condolences to the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah on the death of Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah.
The Amir also offered condolences to members of the ruling family, and ranking officials, praying to Allah to have mercy on the soul of the deceased and to rest it in peace in paradise.
His Highness the Personal Representative of the Amir Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani and Sheikhs and ministers, members of the official delegation accompanying the Amir also offered their condolences.
Upon his arrival at Kuwait Airport, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani was welcomed by Advisor in the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Mohamed al-Khalid Hamad al-Sabah, Qatar's Ambassador Bandar bin Mohamed al-Attiyah, and the Qatari Embassy staff.
The Amir was accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani.
The Amir was also accompanied by a number of Sheikhs and ministers.
After offering condolences, the Amir and the delegation accompanying him left Kuwait and was seen off at the Kuwait Airport by Sheikh Mohamed al-Khaled al-Hamad al-Sabah, Qatar's ambassador and embassy staff.
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani returned to Doha from Kuwait Wednesday evening.
Earlier, the body of the late Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, who passed away in the United States on Tuesday, arrived in Kuwait Wednesday.
The body of the deceased was received by Kuwaiti Amir Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah and Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali al-Ghanim and the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah al-Khaled al-Hamad al-Sabah.

Reuters adds: Kuwait on Wednesday laid to rest late ruler Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah, a Gulf Arab elder statesman who helped steer his nation through some of the region's most turbulent decades, in funeral rites closed to the public due to Covid-19 concerns.
Dignitaries from around the world paid respects to Sheikh Sabah, a seasoned diplomat and savvy politician widely respected as a humanitarian who strove to heal rifts in the Middle East, mending ties with former occupier Iraq and championing the Palestinian cause.
"He will be long remembered by all who work for regional stability, understanding between nations and between faiths, and for the humanitarian cause," Britain's Queen Elizabeth said in a statement tweeted by Buckingham Palace.
Sheikh Sabah, who died on Tuesday in the United States were he was hospitalised since July, had ruled the US-allied country since 2006, and steered its foreign policy for over 50 years.
